Humor site ad placement help

    I know entertainment based sites are not good for money making but I would like to try and maximize profits. I have a 200x90 text link unit in my sidebar which gets me the most clicks and then a text ad unit after the 2nd post on the main page and an image ad unit at the bottom of each individual post. I think this set-up is OK all though I would like thoughts on using image units and of ways to better increase the clicks I get on my current text units.

    As can be seen I also have a 728x90 banner ad at the top. I am using adbrite and had been using CPX but in truth I'm not happy with either as they both pay cpm. This unit gets the most click so it would be good if I could get a cpc ad there. I tried adsense image ad for the banner but they look really amateur, also I would like to stick with a non-adsense banner as to not put all my eggs in one basket.

    Adsense is 10x better than adbrite for sure.

    Put an ad between each post/joke/media.
