If you're sites are hosted on ev1servers (Or any other Texas server!), you better back-up with in the next two days!!!!

 

Tell me about it...those who refuse to donate are are ostricised. If I am going to donate I want to buy the food and supplies and physically hand it to the people who need it. No middlemen to pocket the proceeds along the way.

 

Well, if a certain percentage goes to middle men, that is ok. But the problem is that so many organizations are overdoing it ...

And NEd, if you changed the sig (made it a little smaller), people would like you a lot more

 

well thats not what i meant by my statement, i meant that those people are going to need just as much help as the katrina people did

 

I know they need help...we all need help, but dont expect ordinary folks to be be bending over backwards with more relief money...especially after Katrina drained most peoples wallets.

I said it in another thread. I feel bad for the people that were evacuated to Houston. Now they have to leave again.

Seems like the hurricane weakend, down to a cat 4 now.

Anyone remember a few years ago when a strong storm was heading up to LA a few weeks after another one. The churned up waters were cooler, so it caused significant weakening.

Seems like, since this is only a few weeks after Katrina and following a similar course that it is happening again. Hopefully it'll stay a little weakened before it hits land.

 

I think Katrina was a 3 when it made landfall, the sad thing is that the storm is predicted to turn to the north more than it was yesterday and that means more bad news for Louisana. I am a complete moron, I am heading to Austin City Limits tomorrow morning (flying into Austin) until Monday. Somehow they are only predicting a 60% chance of rain in Ausitn on Saturday...how the hell is that possible?

 

I am in Louisiana and am in the path. Wish me luck!

Chachi, Austin is pretty far inland. The storm will most likely hit land and then shoot up NE away from Austin.

So...moron? Maybe. COMPLETE moron? Nah!
