If you are looking to get money, yes.

It is rather easy, traffic X clicks = $$ increase them and you will generate revenue

what's your traffic? as ServerUnion mentioned, it is most important... without traffic you can't get anything out of it. Also, the relevancy of the ads is most often obtained after approx 2 weeks (when the adsense bot has fully crawled your adsense pages).

I've taken a look at your site, and you seem to only have two ads -- one the adlinks on the front page, and a 125x125 button at the lower right corner. That's, um, really making it hard to generate any clicks, especially if your ads aren't relevant.

Let me suggest adding more ad blocks to your other pages, especially pages with a lot of text content. Even your gallery pages should have at least one Adsense ad on every page.

You can't just slap Adsense on the front page, an Adsense adlink unit and a 125 button, for a total of 2 adsense ad on your entire site, and expect to make money. You're not giving your visitors enough chances to click on your ads. To do that, you need to put ads on every page. You don't have to put a lot of ads on every page, but one or two will do. One leaderboard banner at the top, a 336 large rectangle in the middle, like that.

Once you've put ads on every page, then you can start working on optimizing the placements.

Add more ads in every pages.

you need to tell us your website stats like how many unique visitor a day / impression. Ads impression so we can tell more.

You can't just make the site, you need to make people go to your website.

    Tip:

    - Put 2 large rectangles on the top of your page
    - Put a wide sky scraper on the right (before the menu)
    - put a link unit
    - put search boxes
    - work on your traffic
    - less images

Here's another tip. Try to remove the flash page. When someone uses a dial up, it's slow to load and they might not see the "skip intro" link and just move away.

You should put a 160x600 before the nav. links. That way, people will think that the ads are the nav links and have a chance to click on it. Don't worry about your site looking weird if you are not making money.

My suggestion is to put the leaderboard banner at the top, underneath the "Michelle Branch" logo, with black background and pink txt like you have it now. Then remove the adlinks leaderboard you currently on top. You really don't need more than that on the front page. There's not a whole lot there, so you don't want to clutter up your site.

Then get to work adding the ads on the rest of your site.

I tried putting a 160x600 before navigation bar... but it was huge and everything moves down way too far. What else would u suggest? Also, should I do a link unit instead of text unit

For some reason your text ads were displaying the following:

    Rap Artist
    Rap Music
    Rap Songs
    Hip Hop Albums

I couldn't find what keyword you used that triggered these ads.
