here the story so far: there was this guy and i spent my holidays in west canada at his hometay; he got commision for domestric flights and the car rental. 1/2 year later he asked me to help with his website, and he sent me a (totaly useless) "first try in ms-frontpage" hompage, done by the friendly kid who "knows everythig about computers" from next door to continue with.
because i dont like to use "font" and "blink"-tags or change 120 different products on 120 different html-pages i decided to start again with css, php and mysql.
after ~40hours work i asked for some money, but he didnt pay me anything because he missed his FF0000 textcolor, blinking heading and wooden background patterns.

today i checked the ads at one of my sites (normaly disabled by adblock here) and see him advertising his homestay via clicksor at my site

    lol@ wooden background patterns
I think everyone new to the internet is impressed by that kind of stuff, then they realise it's tacky, annoying and pointless, just like the way they used too much make-up and video effects in the 80's.
