I failed

Hi I failed my physics test..got a whopping 62%. But I checked my Yahoo Publisher account and Adsense account..made $400 today (combining YPN and Adsense) :)

And my Google stock is up 4 percent, adding aditional $ to my portfolio

needless to say, dispite what some stupid test says, I consider myself to be a success.

The point of this post is to brag, but to motivate people to NOT quit and keep working on what you enjoy doing. One day it will all pay off if you are persistant and smart (time mangement is also very important!).

At this rate, I plan to simply drop out college after the year is up and continue expanding my sites as well as launch an investor 'think tank'.

So while I may not be able to figure out the tension of string holding a 3K weight on a 37 degree incline ramp, I can make $400/day online which is good enough for me. :)

Regardless what people might tell you ten years down the line, failing that physics test might be of more influence on your life then the money you are making now.

I'm not telling you to stop your business, but remember school does not last forever (even though it seems like it) and even though a lot of people will tell you that you never use what you learned at school, from my personal opinion, the benefit of school and university expanded my mind and has let me take in, analyze and comprehend new things in life in a way I don't think would have been possible if I dropped out.

$400/day is pretty impressive. Are you earning that constantly or is it your record day today?

I can't believe that at your educational level you still identify with 50 cent, or your nick doesn't have anything to do with that rapper?

I deeply regret not having gone to university straight out of High School and getting a degree. I have always been very entrepreneurial and have been running businesses of one sort or another since I was a kid.

I stopped working for other people in 1988, but not having finished university when I had the chance has always been a detriment, even though I was not studying anything televant to what I do today.

But, the benefits a university can give you if you take advantage of the situation, go beyond whet you will learn in business.

Do not believe the crap that all successful people do not finish their education. Only some do. And of those that do, many regret the choice. And many are seeing their success fade and their opportunities to do something else non-existent because of the lack of formal education.

Stick it out. Finish your education. Take advantage of the chances to meet with people fromn other cultures and learn from them. Take all that and apply it to what you currently think is your passion.

I would also be wary of becoming an investment consultant hjust because I got lucky at a couple of stocks. I was a commodity trader for a dozen years and it normally takes three years of full time trading to get to the point where you buckle down and start learning the business.

websites are volatile, education isn't. Why not look into studying business management? You seem to have no issues making the money, the problem most have in your position is what to do with it and strategic planning.

Business is like a puzzle. The more puzzle types you learn (physics ;) ), the better you will get at solving other puzzles. Plus, you wont sound like a dumbass around "them edumacated" types.

    Good luck...

Doesn't matter, does it? You are making more money than most people with a good education(if they get a job, most of my educated friends are unemployed).

College is about more than learning how to make money. You can never replace a college education and the whole experience. I say congrats on your sites, but use the money to stay in school. The Internet can wait :)

I would agree on finishing college. Not to sound like a bad cliche, but money can come and go, but a good education WILL last your whole lifetime.
