I've always had cats and dogs. I had one cat for 18 years and she lived in 3 different countries with me. Ugly as sin but a great character and friend. I brought her and another cat, Chokdi, here with me when I moved. Poor Chokdi was poisoned by the pigeon-fancying rat who lives behind me. Can't wait for the bird flu panic to start so he has to wring the neck of all the shitting machines that fly over my house every day.

My latest cat is a little beauty. She was just a scared little thing when we got her but it only took three days for her to fasten her sharp little teeth onto poor old Skye's nipples and then she hardly came up for air for a month. Skye's a boxer and has the patience of a saint (and very sore nipples). Poor dog wasn't lactating at the time or anyhting. She's never had pups but she adopted the cat anyway.

I can't imagine not having animals and I really feel so bad for Hodge now and hope he finds his pups.

I don't really like cats too much either.

My cat is pretty cool though. She's never ripped anything or pissed anywhere. She's a good little cat!

Is that a leather couch? Does the cat scratch it up at all?

    That's pretty shallow...

Cats are anything but "dumb" (even though they do not speak) and unfaithful.

e10, I simply love animals, whether it is cat, dog or a bird.
Brutality to any poor creature is not good. Thats why I am a veggie.

    I agree 100%
Cats are very intelligent creature and unfaithful?? Not at all sir.

And even they do not speak but I have a feeling that they are more capable of communicating than any other animal.

Yes, Webby. Me too. I wouldn't really want the pigeon fancier to kill his birds though I would happily wring his neck.

:D I just love kitties. I love dogs, too. We just got a kitten about 6 weeks ago after being cat-less for a long time. I forgot how nice it is to have a cat. She (I think it's a she) is so cute.

We have a 9 year old sheltie, too. He doesn't think to much of the kitten. She chases him around, swatting at his tail, running up to his face all bowed up. He just runs from her. It's hilarious to see this 16 pound dog running from a 3 pound kitten.

I miss having cats. I've hand-raised two litters - once because my cat had to have a c-section and therefore couldn't nurse; the other because a friend found the kittens without a mother in a homeless man's cart and brought them to me. It was funny when one of those kittens made a beeline for my male dog's belly... that dog retreated fast from this maybe two week old kitten.

We don't have cats right now because it's too much of a pain to pay pet security deposits or pet rent.

Cats are very good at finding their way home. They are good survivors and loves to go away on long trips then and then. My old cat used to survive on mostly rats and mices that it picked up in the backyard. That's how they want to live. It's a shame that most cats lives in a prison all their life and get the dinner served.

Ha. I just saw an "anything and everything" post. What made me sad is I can't post in link exchanges without 25 posts! I have visited here for a long time, and honestly...hate cats. Haha.
