I have a question about how adsense units are altered.

    I was browsing around and found this:

    Notice the adsense block that loads above the text in the first post. By viewing the source you can clearly see the original ad unit block is completely altered.

    By overriding with a new function you can wrap the ad units into any look that you want. I do see that in point 2. of googles TOS that general modification of the ad units is prohibited.

    Is there a grey area on matching googles ad units but altering it to span or match a certain width on your site? I understand completely removing the "Ads by..." which is possible in this example is against TOS... but im curious if i can match them to a current ad unit but open its height/width up more to fit better in certain spots of my sites.

    You cannot alter the appearance in any way unless you're a premium publisher.
