    The uniques might not be high as the content is surely copied as i read this previously.

    Try to plave 468*60 adsense columns rather than present one.

    If you're going to copy and paste content, you have to provide a link back to the original source.

    As far as your layout goes:

    Move your sidebar to the left
    Place a 160 X 600 (text only) in it (above the fold)
    Then use a leaderboard under your header or a medium/large rectangle between your posts.
    Blend your ads (the link color in ads should match the links on your page).
