I have some questions regarding placement for those who are successful with Adsense.

Thanks for taking the time to read this post. I have some questions regarding placement and type of ads for a web site. I'm currently building the site and I made it live but does not get a lot of traffic. My questions are not related to that though.

I would like to have opinions regarding the placement and types of ads so that I can standardize between pages. I also don't want to have too many or too few ads on a page. I've been reading some of the posts here and have been slowly digesting the information. For instance. I have read that the 250x250 is the best generating ad, and that the link units ads generate positive results as well.

I would like you to compare the pages below. One has a link unit at the top with the 250x250 below and a side bar ad. The other has a banner at the top with slightly different placement. I would like to know which would be preferable for the best results. I'm also wondering if you believe it would be beneficial to keep the banner to the bottom of the page. The first 2 links below have the same placement, the only difference is that one has a banner ad at the bottom.

The question for the home page would be.... In your experience, do the ad links create more hits if they are encapsulated in a box or should they be outside of the box? The links I'm talking about are on the top of the page. Also... is it beneficial to have the banner ad at the bottom of the page or is that something that will do nothing but take up space?
