Hi, not so long back i sold one of my big arcade websites which got a couple of grand for four months hard work, so as a 17 year old, i was obviously pleased with my first big website sale. Now the dilema is, i have $2000 left from the money, my mates are nagging me to go on holiday which'd be good but i want to put the money back into a website and make it a good investment which will bring me money in short term, and be good for a long term project aswell. I know $2000 isn't alot to many members here, but what do you suggest i do

I'm still contemplating going on holiday, got one month left before we're supposed to go and still havent got it booked lol. So im starting to think more about the money and whats possible with it.

    Give me your opinions
    Terry

Your 17? You have the rest of your life to go on holiday. A lot of the rest of your life can BE a holiday if you work at building your foundations now. I travelled all over the world from I was 18 till I was 37 and finally settled here without a bean to my name. I have had a great life and don't regret a minute of it but I do wish I'd spent some time between 18 and 35 laying some financial security.

Nah i would need it all.. so it's either or, but im seeing what people think..

I'd spend it on a new project - $2000 might not sound like much but it will pay dividends if you put it to work correctly. Especially on the web.

But then again I haven't had a holiday in 7 years!

You don't need to make a big investment to make money again... just start more sites. Register a dozen domains with your best ideas and work on the one that you think has the most potential. Do another arcade since you can do that already.. the sooner you register new domains and the sooner you get sites up, the sooner they will get traffic. No need to spend much of your cash on it.

What website idea do you have that requires $2000?

It really depends on where you go on holiday too... a caravan in Cornwall or a villa in Cuba? I wouldn't rule going on holiday out so quickly, just as e10 mentioned you have the rest of your life to go on holiday, you have the rest of your life to do the net hustle too :)

I don't like arcade websites and wouldn't consider doing one, but I'd imagine they could be created cheaply. Do you have a big website concept or just plan to blow it on marketing a current site?

I'd recommend pulling in the money as soon as you can. Sometimes it gets easier as you grow older, sometimes it gets harder ...

You dissin' the Cornwall crew you Norf Lundunah scum? :D
