    True, but ice does not cause your carport to collapse crushing the firebird underneath. I think I have some pics somewhere. Give me a minute.

    BTW ice is very heavy and is what crushes more things than some snow...

    True but not the thin layer that was being talked about. We get sheets of ice here to but that snow did far worse damage. Imagine how much water that was on top of the roof or carport.

    Black ice can be really bad here too.

    There were icicles that were 6 feet long on my patio.
