    I don't know what these tools are called, but basically I want something user-friendly and free that I can use to slice up mp3s. I have several albums recorded from old vynl in mp3 format and I need to split them up into tracks, probably manually.

    any ideas?

    I use cool edit 2000 for that sort of stuff. The only problem is that I dont' think they offer the software anymore.

    i hate this. I'm halfway thru a 40 minute album and i accidently push the skip-track button and boom, it's over.

    im sure something can do this, it's the only thing i need to do...
