I need help, I've got a dismal CTR

Can somebody have a look at my site, let me know if the placement of my Adsense blocks are ok or if they should be moved? The CTR for this site is really low, the average for November is 0.2%.

You can log in using the username "test" with the password of "test" to get an idea of what the users see. The blocks are on the main page, the forum pages and down near the bottom of the thread pages.

I recently changed the colors of the ads from the same colors of the site to one that contrasts with the site, but that didn't make much of a difference.

    The site is www.HappyHourPub.com

    Thanks!

First thing is ads aren't going to be extremely targeted on a randomish forum site, so CTR is never really high. You can increase it some though, look at putting ads after the first post and/or last post and using section targeting. Test colors, try blending with the posts also try contrasting, your results may vary:)

Adsense doesn't do overly well on a forum. The regular users get used to the ads very quickly and don't end up clicking. You may be better off with something like Chitika where you can choose your own keywords.
