I need help settling a dispute

Discussion in 'General Business' started by math20, Dec 2, 2006.

I recently purchased some signature links and paid for them. Everything was hunky dory but all of a sudden "I have been advised not to sell links for more than 3 month periods" and the links were removed.

The payment was refunded, but I had even confirmed the deal, "And just to confirm, these are 4, 1 year links that will not be repurchased?" and do not want the deal to disappear which has happened SEVERAL times to me.

What can I do? I am tired of people backing out of deals on the fly and would like the links put back up.

    Thanks in advance!

The only thing you can do is get an agreement in writing, signed by both parties. Then you can pursue legal action if they back out.

Can you ban the person or at least give some infractions if they don't come around?

Guess it depends on who stands to lose.:D

I am sorry this happened to you. Such protections as are afforded are afforded by law. Unless you have an explicit, written agreement, regretfully, I'd wager you are out of luck, particularly since your money has been refunded.

We already exchanged positive iTrader's :(

That was in regard to government economic policy, not settling a financial dispute between two willing participants in such financial arrangement.

DP Mods do not get involved in disputes between members. I do not see anything wrong if they do not want to put links on their website anymore and refund you full payment.

    :)

I guess that is what I'll have to do, I am just surprised and angered at just how often this type of thing happens.

Just curious how much did you pay this person for 1 year?
It seems you have spent a lot because you're very angry with this member.

He sent me a refund and everything, it's just the principal of the thing. I don't like people going back on deals without my permission and it happens all too often.

You can't do anything buddy..that's the risk involved, in every business. And, the best thing to do in such cases (where the amount is not too big) is to move on..because, its very hard, to get your money back.

I would say this is the best option it is good becuase you have it in writing and signed so you have enough proof if they do anything agiast you.

It maybe small but even the smallest thing matters it dose not matter if you paid $0.10 for it or even $15 it still counts as money, so it dose matter i hope you understand
