All I wanted was to post youtube videos. However they recently changed it so google plus and youtube are welded together.

    "B-b-but unlink!11!"

When I did that, it forced all of my videos private, defeating the purpose of putting videos on youtube!

I want nothing to do with google plus or any other form of social networking. I am morally and ethically opposed to posting my full, real name on the Internet for (I hope) many obvious reasons.

So they threatened to ban me for not attaching my full, real name with my youtube.

No, using another video service is not an option. THEY ALL SUCK THAT HARD. YES, I TRIED EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM. If it was an option of jumping ship, I wouldn't be saying anything here and now.

    To hell with new microsoft.

    I don't get it.

First of all, you do not need to use your real name on youtube. When the option to use it pops up, simply click that you don't want to.
Secondly, Google plus is not connected to my youtube since I don't use Google plus, so why do you even have a google plus profile in the first place if you don't like it?
Lastly, what do you mean with "to hell with new microsoft"? What does microsoft have to do with this?

@Wulkanen is right, you dont need to use your real name at all. You simply just use the option that pops up where u dont use your name and you can get back to youtube as normal. Google is connected to youtube now (and have been for a while) but google plus is not to my knowledge so im not sure how/ or why your youtube account is connected to plus. May i ask what you meant by "the hell with new microsoft"?

    Your username is blahblah1.

Nice start, and a great way to build any kind of credibility on this forum .

Is it real? I cannot believe it so easily, don't have any idea that youtube will do it. Anyway, you can create another account and try to upload your videos there. Make sure that all your activity in youtube is clean and fully legal.

I don't really get this YouTube thing because as far as I know, YouTube offered me an option to retain my alias (same as my channel name) or use my G+ name. I opted for the latter for professional reasons.

I see. Now, I understand your point. My client was mad too because he was locked out of his YouTube account for the same reason. He couldn't make a G+ profile with his company name. I don't know... I'm confused with this issue. Can't you upload videos using an alias?

I know, right. Google wants everyone to set up their G+ profile because they want to compete with Facebook.

However, LOL @ the Microsoft thing.

You have to accept the fact that they (Google) spent a lot of money on YouTube so it's obvious that they want to do something with YT. Welding YouTube and Google Plus was a smart move.

I don't think it is good to be unhappy with Google, they seem to control quite a bit of what is happening on the net. I wonder why you want to hide your information, Google has made it pretty clear that rankings are better when there is full disclosure. Perhaps you can rethink and moderate your approach to Google, you may benefit from doing that.
