I Quit smoking

Very interesting! I just heard that my friend's father died today. He told me that he had problems with his health for months, and he had very hard time breathing in a last few days. Guess what? 30 minutes before he died he asked for a cigarette, he got one, smoked it, went to bathroom, and then to bed, and then died.

 

DCteam...I decided to quit at the end of a vacation as well...at the poolbar, my last day with a lethal cuba libre in my hand.

Start running every morning, you will notice that you will NEED to quit if you want to get anywhere. That is how I quit eating junk food

 

Funny though I am able to play an hour+ of fairly physical tennis and I don't feel too bad after it. I know my fitness isn't what it used to be though but still it doesn't bother in the slightest.

The money factor is the scary thing for me.

I just had to read this thread again... been a week now without smoking, and you have no idea of how much I want a cigarette right now, I feel like running out and looking for an open minimart to get a pack of Marlboros...

...Thats the point in which i usually put on a long coat and run to the nearest shop. middle of the night or not...Once i get that craving, I give in to it. i suck.

I quit smoking last fall and it was very hard.
I would recommend that you try to spend all the money you don't use on smokes on gold coins or something you couldn't afford when you smoked. I did so and I got a nice collection of krugerrand at this point. Gold is so much better than smokes.
