My ex girlfriend got married last May 5 and everything between us were done.. I was badly hurt... I promised a total changed so then, from that day...

    1. I stopped smoking (smoking since 2001)
    2. I go to gym for 3 times a week (never done before)

Do you think this is a good idea?... it's been hard to quit smoking during the firt 5 days but it's getting better now.. I just drink plenty of water when I want to smoke...its working..

hmmm... that is better for your health but i think you should not change to prove to others but rather prove to yourself that you can change... i think that if you will do that, it is more lasting...

    just my two cents...:)

    Congratulations :)

I recently quit smoking (10 weeks now) and can honestly say I do not miss it at all. I still get cravings, but that is understandable. I couldn't manage to do it on will power alone like you, I used a combination of both patches and chewing gum. I still get drawn in by the occasional one once ive had a drink. It doesn't bother me though. I would rather smoke two a week than twenty a day as I did.

I also joined the gym about six weeks ago. I decided there was going to be a whole new me. I currently go 5-6 times a week and have lost 11lbs in the last four weeks (I was getting a bit chubby lol). I also eat healthier now and sleep healthier if that makes sense. Put it this way, by eleven o'clock after I have been to the gym I am completely bushed. My social life has suffered but my college work has improved.

    Anyway, keep it up :)

    Um....of course it's a good idea

Congrats on finally getting off that bad habit. At least you'll now have a better chance of meeting more women as well as you won't stink of smoke like before.

That's great that you picked yourself up like that. :]

I probably would have done the opposite in your situation.

I stopped smoking recently using the Alen Carr method (no not the UK funny guy). It's been about 2 and a half months now, maybe more. I don't know I stopped counting. First two days were hell, then I just got over it.

Well done you. Now shake that girl out your head and go find one that deserves you.
