    After the first post is a typical Google Ad banner. Should I place it elsewhere? Also my users aren't interested in the ads that Google is serving how could I go about forcing a change?

    well that page is about nuclear energy and the ads being served are about nuclear energy. if your users aren't interested in nuclear energy then tell them to stop posting about nuclear energy!:p
