i want more traffic on my site plz give me a better idea of more traffic

 

What you need is time and hard work. Build back link with anchor text of your main targeted keyword, promote in social network to expose your site to the audience. work days and night for 6 months then you will get your results.

 

Participate at forums, be active on social networks, submit to directories. If you don't want to do this by yourself, you can outsource everything. But if you are willing to do that by yourself, you can find all the list of promoting your website at google of in these forums. Just use search wisely (cause i believe this thread will be locked). Also, you can buy traffic if you have funds. There are a lot of things that makes your website public...

Something else to keep in mind is that you really want targetted traffic. I posted some stuff on a general site and got lots of traffic..1430 in a week...no conversions though. Then I posted some stuff elsewhere more related to my niche and got about 1200 in a week and with the laser targetted traffic I made 36 sales. I can have 50000 visitors but if they are not targetted then the traffic is useless. Less traffic but very targetted seems to work well for me. One good way is to go to forums in your niche and participate for a while then ad your sig....this is a great way...all the people on the forum are talking about the same thing.

 

My suggestion is to work on SEO first, and then once you've got a good base start looking at social media, viral marketing, and other promotion tactics. If you focus on short term traffic sources such as social bookmarking from the start, then you end up in a trap where you're constantly forced to promote your site just to stay at the same levels of traffic. If you've got a good SEO base built early on, you'll be getting organic tracffic from search engines even if you aren't able to promote in other ways for a week or two.
