I want to offer ppc advertising on my map application

    I working on my map application for tourism businesses. It is similar to Foursquare(showing business information on map) but only oriented to tourism businesses. (This is only short introduction, don't worry I'm not making the next copy-paste Foursquare.)

    Here is my question - My plan is to make money with PPC advertising. There are lots of business shown on the map and I have developed a feature which makes the selected marker stand out from the rest (changing colour to yellow, making it little bit bigger). It will attract attention and people will click on it more. If people clicks on this yellow marker then it will forward users to his website (PPC).
    Few years ago Foursquare had something similar, yellow markers offered discounts.
    Does this kind of PPC advertising works? Will they buy this kind on PPC?
