I wonder if I should create more sites

Someone created a topic here asking how many sites we own, and it had me thinking. At the moment I have a total of 8 active sites since every site I create gets pretty popular so it keeps me really busy. However I was wondering if I create a few more sites anyway, would all of the Adsense add up to a large profit. Don't get me wrong I won't place ads everywhere and create a spam site, I like to create a quality site but have one row of ads on the top or bottom of the page. I get few clicks but perhaps with a lot of different sites they would all add up. What do you think?

 

Well, if you can handle the additional work load, why not. As long as you have the passions for those sites and have the time and money to maintain them, there is no harm. Just do not over-stretch yourself and find it a chore to manage them.

 

Diversification is always a plus, but don't get overloaded with work. If you neglect the current sites, the traffic (and earnings) will more than likely drop.

 

I know people braving to have up to 500 sites but earning the same someone with 2-3 sites does.
Quality is first thing you must have in mind.

Everyone can put up a blog, import some rss feeds, but this won't make any good, except some search engines hits once in a while, and finishing banned after all.

Build something that will make visitors come back.Why are you asking for help in this forum? Because you like, because people love it and that's why makes it popular among the web.

This is what you must aim.You can start making more sites, as long as you have time to handle them.Once you stop taking care of your sites... they will ruin.. all goes to dust.

If you can hire someone and the money from the site(s) gives a nice ROI to pay for them than they can run the site(s) for you while you just focus on the direction of your business.

I'm more into quality over quantity!

 

Quality and quantity is the key (like stated above). It's easier to manage a few site than a ton. You also have to think about the hosting and domain registrations you will have to spend if you have a ton of sites. If you have less, you don't have to invest extra money on that and tiy can spend it more on your main sites.

 

Well to many is just not a good ideea i have in plan like 10 sites much will never own ...

Yeah I agree with you guys thanks I have always wanted to only maintain a few quality sites but then I wondered what would happen if I created a lot of different sites would my income double.

 

If you create another site just like your previous site (same quality, content, etc and market it well), yes it would double Just keep the quality of your new site the same or more

 

Thanks Luckily I am finding some dependable people so far to admin a couple of my sites so hopefully that would free me up to focus on new sites.
