I'd like to improve my ability to concentrate. But how?

I often find myself posting something on this forum (and other sites / forums that I post on) being fully confident that my posts don't have any serious misspellings or mistakes. I often triple check my posts before I publish them, only to find out later that I misspelled or missed something. It happens more often than not. It just drives me mad.

Is there a technique that can improve my ability to see my posts for what they are before I publish them?

I solved the same issue by buying less weed :)
Now seriously, i think you're trying too hard, relax, listen favorite music and walk...that works for me.

I wish I could remember. I knew it at one time like 15 years ago, but can't recall it anymore. What does a blood type have to do with the ability to concentrate or see things clearly?

A lot. People who are A negative for example have a tendency to get sidetracked easily. All blood types come with certain personality traits that are predisposing them to have certain traits.

I am not even joking. Today I emailed one person and I literally re-read that email 5 times. So, I sent it. 2 hours later I went back and right away I noticed a mistake. Instead of "you're aware of this" I wrote "you aware of this". How in the hell did it happen - I have no idea!

I probably should just start asking my wife to proofread everything I email.

There are many techniques to improve your concentration.
For example, whatever you do, think only of what you do at the moment and not of anything else.
Train your consciousness/awareness. There are lots of techniques you can find on the internets :)

One simple technique that works is to tell yourself (loudly, if there is no one around or silently otherwise), "I am going to concentrate on what i am reading. I will spot even the minutest error and correct it." Don't underrate the effectiveness of this technique. You will see results after doing this a few times. Good luck!

Oftentimes when writing, your creative side overshadows your analytical side, so while in the same state of mind, it´s easy to overlook the same mistake even when reading and re-reading the same email.

After 2 hours you are somewhat disconnected from the creative process and probably approached the email a lot more analytical so the mistake basically "screamed at you".

    Or like he said:

So you noticed errors a few hours after you sent them--when you looked them over again? What if you write the email, save it as a draft, and come back to it 30 minutes later, read it, edit, and then send it? With a post you can just keep it in another tab for 30 minutes and do the same thing.

Yoga and meditation are proven to improve your mindset how you look at your life and make you more calm. It should help you to concentrate more deeply on any issue of life.
And the timing is quite important, doing it in early morning will benefit you the most.

Type your post, copy and paste it into a word processing program with spelling checker, and find your errors.

Is it really due to a lack of concentration? The mind is very complex. When you quickly read over something to check it's ok, I think it's easy to not see mistakes because the mind automatically generates in response to familiar situations. So, when you skim over a word, you already know how it should be spelled, so that's how you see it, even though it's spelled differently.

That was said in relation to writers having a solitary life. It is extremely difficult to write when you have distractions.

You have probably moved on from this issue since you first started this thread in 2014, but if it is short blurb, try reading it out loud to yourself. Another part of your brain gets involved and typo's omitted words, etc., get caught more frequently, in my experience.
