    To be frank, yes and no.

    Yes, if your content is worth it.

    No, if Google does not consider your site valuable. Google visits frequently to your site if you make frequent updates. But that doesn't mean you will get an increase in ranking and get more traffic.

    Another thing I would like to mention is, if you have a lot of social media followers, then frequent updates would mean frequent visitors to your site.

    Your question is very good. One thing I wanna tell you. Have you every visited news websites? They update every hours and you see these website's content quality, PR and traffics. Everything is better, I mean better content is strong than every thing.

    Increase the Traffic of website depends on good quality of site content , good site structure, well on page optimized of website, quality of back links, pr, off page optimization etc. And then Google crawled your site and Index then your website getting good search volume.

    Hello friends Google loves quality of content better then number of content. So, Updating content every 2 hour is good but content should be unique and relevant according to your website.

    It depends on the quality of your updates. If you're just randomly spamming your own site, repeating info and/or just posting general nonsense, it won't help.

    You say you're updating hourly, but is it new material or just rehashed material. Google loves new material.

    If you're reposting material directly from other sites this may be the reason. Add unique content and it should help.
