So I was right after all. Man that feels good. :D
Anyway, I'm glad you worked out your issues, actually ikobo did that for you. I suppose now you're ready to start selling big time, right? Or are you?
BTW, what kind of shopping cart do you plan on using? Ikobo's, OSCommerce or some other third party cart? If that's not some sort of secret, of course...

So someone does need a secured connection in order to benefit from the IPN feature ? Hmm, interesting. Anyway if you just want to be notified about your store's purchases then you'll just have to read you e-mails. ;)

daemeh, do you know any good IPN script besides the ones from ikobo's site ? I really want to integrate ikobo's IPN with my contability programs. Has anyone done anything like that before ?

Do you know there is a google group called ikobo ? It really exists because I found it yesterday. I thought ikobo users could use something like that. :D

    Oh, that’s not top-secret information :D
Well, you know, I am just starting my business and I am a little bit limited in money  So I am thinking about either OsCommerce or ikobo shopping cart.
And what shopping cart do you use?

I use OSC combined with some visual and payment contributions. You can download them for free. In order to configure your osc shopping cart you must have basic php and mysql knowledge. If you don't have a clue about php or mysql then you should pay somebody to install it for you or just go with ikobo shopping cart which is a simple and free method to build your own shopping cart.

Thanks, for the link, it can't hurt to learn as much as we can about tis subject.
As for me, I'm also using OSCommerce with ikobo as payment processor. I think for now it's quite a good solution, maybe when I'll have more time and more money I'll hire someone to develop a shopping cart just for me, or buy some of the ones available. Ikobo's own shopping cart is also a solution for many.

Thank you for your answers :)
So I suppose as for now the best choice is to use OsCommerce.

And as to the google group I will take a look at it. Hope to find some useful information there.

And I also heard that ikobo had the limits for the merchant account. So I am curious what those limits are and what is the process of raising them?

You're welcome and yes, I suppose it is. OSCommerce I mean....
About the question regarding ikobo's limits: after you sign up they're set at $500, after you complete one transaction you may chose to have them raised to anything from $1000 to $5000 by sending some documents. You can see exactly what is needed by clicking the raise my limits link inside your' account overview page.
The process of raising them involves sending some documents to verify your identity as well as your financial status.

Are you sure about it? If I am not mistaken I read somewhere that initially saling limit is 1000$ per month…
But again I can be mistaken

Thank you for your answer, Sonia :)
Hope you will help me with one more questio
As far as I know after the payment is made the money can’t be withdrawn until ikobo verifies the buyer. And how long does it usually take to verify the buyer and release the funds?

In the past this procedure would have taken two or even three days but ikobo changed this and now it only takes 24 hours to release your funds.

That’s just great. To my mind it proves that ikobo is really improving its services. I guess I need to communicate with you more often to find out something new about ikobo ;)
Thank you for your help. Hope if I have some problems with ikobo I will be able to apply to you.

Every company is trying to improve their services to better satisfy their clients needs. Lately I have seen improvements in each one of the top payment processors in the world. It seems that paypal, 2co and ikobo will be the leaders on this market. They offer cheap and reliable services, always coming with new and interesting features while others just increase their fees to recover their losses.

It seems IKobo had few short-term service outages yesterday. That's not a good thing when it happens at the moment when your customer wants to pay you :(. I hope it doesn't happen often with them, I have used them only few times in the past.
