I'm a total newbie in YSM, need some advice.

Hi, I am trying to work on affiliate marketing, and day before I thought I would try using YSM, actually I don't want to go ahead because I don't have any idea and I didn't want to waste my money, but somehow, my money was deducted by chance from paypal.So, now I have $30 in my YSM account and I think I will get $100 in 2 - 3 days from the coupon I use, so I want to ask, how should I start to get some money back and some sale because I don't want to throw all the money away for free, I want to try direct linking to the merchant page but I see that I can only enter 1 url for display and the actual url to direct to not like google.So, that means I must get a domain and redirect it right ? And is there anything else I need to know, this is my first time using payperclick, and I'm quite confuse with bid and all, I think it is something easy that I can usderstand, but people are making it so hard, and putting in secrets to it.Can someone explain how bids work in simple way, and can you please suggest me what to do so I could use the money in my YSM account wisely.Thanks and sorry I wrote too long.
