Try this: put the large rectangle at the very top of the page, above the header. Nothing must be above it.

You should also try making that large rectangle an "image only" ad.

I tried both changes to a site I own and the CTR has increased dramatically.

The average earnings per click did NOT go down as a result of making it "image only", so I am now sticking with this strategy for my site. I am very pleased.

Try it and let us know how it works out for you :)

    Good luck!

yes as Oberon said try to make that an image only block. since your blog's niche is sports or boxing, then banners will have maximum influence

Block ads seem to be in good positions. I only saw one though, maybe its my browser. Whats your traffic like? Get analytics to track it.

Thanks I'll try that. What I've done in my blog is I used text ads only. I'll try making it image and text ads. I've heard text ads are better than image ads? So the image ads will really help on boxing and sports? I'll update my progress. Thanks a lot.

Yes, I use analytics. My CTR is 0.32%. I started getting clicks a few days ago. My traffic is around 60-80 per day.

I would let that text ad stand out more by using different colors. Now because of all the images, you hardly notice them.
