I'm looking for the "digital point" of stock market / ISA's

    Hi guys,

Im thinking of trying a whole new way of making money. :p

As well as attempting to make websites and build up an adsense empire, i've also decided to have a go at the stock market.

Can anyone recommend a forum, as good quality as digital point, where the main discussion is the stock market, shares, bonds and ISA's.

I live in the UK, so that would be even better if it was for here.

    Any info would be great.

If you could post a link to a site you use, or if you want to post any advice or experiance aswell that would be great.

    Cheers guys.

    :)

For my finance news online I read SeekingAlpha
TechCrunch has a lot of coverage of community sites where you might find a site of interest - this one has a lot of stock related links: http://www.techcrunch.com/2007/03/26/marketwatch-geting-all-web-2/
For forums, I havent really found a goldmine comparable to DP, or any really good finance forum. If you find one send me a pm.

The problem with stock tips is that either:

    a) The person tipping wants to inflate the stock
    b) Everyone can see the tip so if you don't act immediately the advice is useless

Other than that your gold ;)

    a) I agree with you on that one, but only with penny stocks. If you trade stocks under $2.00, it's likely people online are trying to hype it up alot. But for mid cap stocks, you don't get this.

But for b) I disagree. I doubt any tip on an online forum will have any meaningful effect on a stock. Stock prices swing, on the most part, because of institutional buyers. And, correct me if I'm wrong, institutional buyers probably do not rely on stock forums for tips.
