My doggy cost 800 pounds. But he is a throughbred (or whatever you call it)

I think selling in the newspaper is okay..I mean they advertise online ect.

yup, same with cats, although i believe the market is more for dogs (at least in the US). pure breds are very pricey. But breeding is very hard work, and isn't all that profitable when you consider all the costs that go into it.

Yeah the same as here...people want to know where their dogs come from/background so they will pay good money for a pure breed.

Wendy is right - It is damn hard work, I think they do it because they love it not because of the money.

PS: plz hurry up and update your blog wendy, Im waiting for the exciting entry with baited breath :)

Well, dogs and cats have different lifespans, and there are a lot of factors involved. I had a pure bred german shepard that was 9 when he needed to be put to sleep. Larger dogs tend to have shorter life spans, but that's not always the case.

I would love to breed dogs, but quite frankly I don't have the space for it, or the heart. I couldn't imagine giving away all those adorable puppies.

ps: there is an update mella, but i'm not that exciting right now :)
