    Hey all,

I would appreciate any constructive criticism, on how I can improve my CTR.... I have several ad types but only starting tracking them thru custom channels recently. The CTR is < 1% on all my ads and I know it can be better. If any DP/Adsense gurus could lend me a hand, I would appreciate it and would return the favor anyway I could... The link is in my sig.

Also I would be interested in other ways to monetize the site in general.

    Thanks.

Well your google ads are far down and stuck in the left column. That is probaly why you have sucks a low CTR, people don't really see the ads down there. I suggest moving it somewhere you know everyone person who goes to your site will see the ads. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the suggestion. Although I do have two ads above the folder. The banner and the adlinks in the middle and right under welcome. I was trying to spread the ads out a bit, so when (if) the user scrolled down they see ads there as well.

Do you think I should be move the right ad skyscraper up still?

    Thanks again

The Banner format is said to be the worst for CTR. Many people simply ignore anything that looks like a banner ad. The rectangle formats are said to be the best for CTR. Your Banner block might convert better if it were two text ads instead of a graphic banner.

I like how you hid the link unit in the middle there. That's probably getting most of your clicks, right?

I know if doesn't fit the color scheme of your site, but blue is ingrained into web surfer's minds as the "click on this" color. If you can work things so that you have the "click me" blue in your ad units somewhere that might help. Maybe the URL in the ads could go blue.

    Hey Scott

    Thanks for the reply.

That doesnt surprise me, I think I will take your advise on that one.

Thanks and I wish, since I starting tracking ad channels, the stats are

    :welcome 2,935 4 0.14%

    Pretty awful right...

As far as changing the color, that will take some time to try out... Can anyone else attest to the link color being important?

    Thanks!
