Impudent consent requests by large company websites to view our social media contacts

After hours of browsing all over internet I could not find the following topic discussed anywhere. Perhaps I missed a few places or specific expressions used to describe this huge problem, which is the impudent consent requests by large company websites to view our social media contacts - the necessary evil or human rights abuse?

It's like giving consent to the large private companies to walk inside your house, to your office and go through your files whenever they please.

How many of you have given Forbes, Yahoo, Google, NYT, WT and many other websites consent to view (and sometimes to manage!) your contacts, to see who you follow on Twitter, who or what you like on Facebook, to see all your emails, sometimes to see your gender, your age etc. How is this phenomenon called and how we all have rolled this low lately?

When an internet user goes to read an article online and suddenly they have an itch to comment on it, and it's all free, but there's a catch: you must agree with what I just described above. It's like signing up your life to the devil. Enjoy it, later you go to hell. Any opinions or information?
