(In)Sanity Check on ads placement

I would appreciate if I get atleast 10 opinions on the recent ad placement on explainstuff. You have the link in my signature - 'Learn science concepts and science theories'.

Please throw your ideas on the placements.

I have taken out most ad blocks, so it looks more prudent and not like a damn adsense site.

Homepage only has two ads. One on the sidebar and the other way below.
Content pages have adsense blocks, right below the header of the post. So, you might have to get into the site to look at the real ad placement.

Home page and inner pages have a different layout.

    Thanks for your time!

    Looks good!

However I have a doubt regarding image ad and adsense together on side bar.
Make sure sidebar adsense is text only.

    1. your content is out of focus; you could use categories to divide it by subjects of interest - this should be your main concern;
    2. why do u think ur feedjit is more important than your google ad?
    3. why do you ask for oppinions when you have an adsense ad placement tips "article"?

Work on your content my friend and then on your layout; you might consider placing your ads a little more in sight.

    Good luck!

That article was asking for adsense tips, if you read it. I showed two layouts that I was using earlier and was asking for an opinion on both those.
As for Feedjit, no I don't think that is more important, it is just that I was trying some changes to layout and then moved it up, only to take it lower a few minutes after.

Can you talk more about your first point?

I already have categories! I also have sub categories. Did you mean like categorise it much deeper?

my point was that you don't need to show on a blog a list of visitors locations. it doesn't help you improve your earnings and it is not related to your content

MY opinion is that it just overloads your page without reason; if you want a good advice try to limit your widgets/plugins to stuff related to your content or simply avoid it if it does not bring any direct benefit.

This is how I see things about it. And my experience so far backs up my vision on this matter; but in the end it is your choice.
