I am using top social networking sites but still not getting instant traffic.Also I suppose that the traffic is not targeted.

Yes, building traffic through social media is not an easy task... you really need to committed to it and you have to be interesting. If you want targeted traffic, you need to have good relevant content that your followers or fans are interested it.

 

For the longest time I never recieved any traffic from my social networking attempts, and it took up way too much of my time. Likewise I thought Twitter was a waste of time and not user friendly.

Then I read this article on Hubpages of all places called Lazy Twitter Marketing, it had three steps for generating easy Twitter traffic. I was skeptical but tried it since it was not a time consuming process. For a site I had just built with no traffic I now have daily traffic from Twitter with no work.

Basically the article said to use twitterfeeder to pump your rss feed to twitter and two other sites to pump up your follower list and manage the follower list. So far my followers havent reached the level where I need to really manage them but I'm looking forward to that day, and the increase in traffic it will mean.

I'm looking for something similar for Facebook if anyone knows of anything.

 

Yes that's true! You can generate a lot of traffic from social networking sites but most of the time, they wont convert that well into sales.

 

Sites like youtube and facebook are entertainment and people have a tendency to stay on these sites and not follow affiliate links off the site.

It is not an easy task to generate traffic from social networking site but in my experience the visitors that i get from those networks keep return to my site and this is an advantage.

 

Though, I agree social networking sites had definitely increased my website traffic, but not to the extent as I had liked but yes, social networking sites provide good back links and also helps you to increase web traffic if your content is great.

 

I am using digg, delicious, reditt, stumbleupon , but not getting expected traffic, pls help me if u have ideas.

I don’t think that we can get instant traffic from social networking. It’s a slow procedure in starting, when we able to add huge amount of friend then you can see the result of traffic.
