Intellectual Property Rights for Social Networks

    Hey guys , if I have got an idea of making a new social network which is slightly different from the present ones available. How do I get the intellectual property rights for my idea? I want to have the rights with me , before approaching an investor , for obvious reasons. I had contacted the government website for the IPR : http://www.ipindia.nic.in/, but they say that there is no such provisions for having the idea patented.

    But there must be a organisation that provides this kind of patents. Try to consult a lawyer and he might help you better than anyone on this forum. I did this when I had a service I was needing an investment for. Then I have found a bureau that provided me this service.
