I've always wondered - how exactly did that happen? Was it someone at Google getting political? Or did people just maniuplate Google's results somehow?

    http://www.google.com/search?source...GLD,GGLD:2005-26,GGLD:en&q=whitehouse+failure
Results such as this, or others using anchor text to the site with 'failure' could easily explain it, lots of articles from decent PR news sites have the white house site mentioned, with the word failure as well ;)

But if you look at the second result on the google results for 'failure' it's good old Michael Moore, almost looks like an seo contest between republicans and democrats, of which the dems are winning.
