Ok, sorry it was just a guess. Thought it was you who owned those dirs as it is written on the info vilesilencer home page "Snowy has managed to upload the directory databases ...."
Also I know Dan is promoting SEOGarage service, like on this e-mail.

But it was an assumption - I don't know.

thease mails are generated through mailing list. this mailing list not configured according to anti-spam regulations. using annoying auto responders and mail encaspulation. so its nessesory to report this as spam. once spam lists add the original ip i.e. 207.58.140.90 (rev. dns atlantis.globalfusion.com.au ) it will be blocked at many mail servers who are using anti-spam systems. at least i won't receive thease mails. may be this IP is few Racks away from my server ;)

Ahh I didn't look into how the replies were being sent back, so they are going through the originators email system first? I thought it was a simple reply, in which case how would the IP ban do anything as it's from the new users system.

Not on my puter that's getting those spams at the moment, guess I should ask before assuming.

I do not feel this is spam, but it is pushing it. I have an address that I have used only for one set of directory submissions. This address has the "spam" as called in it today. This meaning that the email was picked up from one of the directories that the site was submitted to.

IMO I have no issue with people sending me follow-up emails about like services, there was a unsubscribe in the email so no issue would be taken at that point.

The only issue that came about was that the list was setup wrong and EVERYONE got the replies. Don't you people who replied have anything better to do. Do you chase the mailman down everyday and ask why you keep getting credit card offers?
