Interstate highway speed limit lowered to 55. But that's not all...

I just thought I would let everyone know that I we have lowered the Interstate Highway speed limit from 65 (70 where applicable) down to 55. Regardless that we have known for at least a little while we were going to do this - we wanted to wait until we actually changed the law before letting you all know.

You should know though, than any of you who previously followed the law and drove 65, will be fined for travelling at 10 miles an hour over the speed limit.

Hmm, I just drove a couple hundred miles from AZ to CA averaging 81 MPH over 6 hours!

I love the 75 mph speed limits! My wife is the only thing keeping me from driving over 100 mph.

Okay, I'm a little slow, but I did drive 400 miles today.

It's is funny you mention the retroactivity. On our drive I was talking to my wife about my many wacky thoughts. I mentioned how cool it was that once I made it to our destination I would never have to worry about that speeding. They don't give you a ticket unless they catch you in the act. I told her that would be an odd rule for bank robbers. If you manage to rob our bank and make it home, you are safe, we have to catch you in the act. She gave me that, "you so crazy" look.
