I recently a land that overhead a conversation that there exist an opportunity to invest and own exist in another planet.

All this sounds absurd. Even, if we pretend to accept that there exist an opportunity to buy a piece of land in another planet and that you have to buy a piece of land in another planet and that you have the money to invest. How many of us would go for it?

Would you invest in a property which exist out of this earth, if given a chance and if you have that type of money to invest? Please share your comments here.

I think that buying property at another planets is absurd. Nobody can sell it, nobody can buy it. Of course, there are some "companies" which "sell" places e.g. on the Moon, but I think that the documents they give will be nothing if it becomes real to live on the Moon.

I would actually be interessted in that.
    - It was once said that the world wouldn't need more than 5 computers.
    - It was also once said that humans would never fly.
    - It has been said that I will never have sex with Jessica Alba, but I'm still not death so I would assume that still gives me a chance, even do the ods are small!

I belive that sooner or later people will be living on other planets too. I don't think it will happen in my days, but maybe it will be a good investemnts for my future grandchilds or something?

You can't own real estate on a different planet right now, according to a treaty that was made into effect back in 1967. There are a couple of different countries each selling land on the Moon so a few people could wind up buying the same plot of land. Some other companies are selling real estate on Mars too.

Lawyers say that once it's easier for more people to land on the moon the real estate question will be ironed out but for now, the only one profiting from the deal is the person "selling" you the property.

I think it is a stupid to invest NOW into another planet, for many reasons. I am sure it would need at least 200 more years until we reach the technology level to sattle other planets, but we don't know what time will bring. Will money exist after 200 years? ....

I don't think that the value of such land would increase much within our lifetime.

whether or not your land ownership is valid... id say owning land on another planet is too long term an investment for most of us here. not only do we have to start inhabiting other planets, we have to overpopulate them so the value increases due to scarcity. unless there are some serious medical breakthroughs i cant see it being a good investment in our lifetimes

As far as I know no Country and/or person can own a planet, star, etc. or even a piece of it. The companies that sell these things do it purely for the entertainment/novelty values but in the end all you really own is a great looking certificate.

Now if it ever becomes legit to own plots on the Moon or Mars they'd be a great long, long term investment.
