Investment Advice - Multi Million Dollar Idea

Discussion in 'General Business' started by Internet Whizz, Feb 26, 2007.

I have found a gap in the market and my coder is currently developing my website.

However, where can I get advice if I need a potential investor to invest in my idea?

I beleive that I have spotted a major gap in the market and this website could generate me millions in the long term. I have done a Marketing Plan on this idea....this idea is unique and it has the potential to be huge.

Do any of you guys know whom I can speak to? An investment between $100-000 to $200-000 would be ideal for this idea. I have done the neccessary marketing research and a SWOT Analysis of this idea. No company online is doing or has done this at the moment.

    Thanks

P.S If anyone has any idea how they can help please let me know.

    Regards

Applying for a Patent you mean? Yes, that is a lengthy process but well worth it.

I know YOUTUBE did not copyright their idea, thats why there are so many clones about.

Look up "venture capital" and "angel investor" at wikipedia and do a search on the web and find one in your geo location

make sure you look at the Pro's and Con's - sometimes it's simply better to sell shares to family and friends or borrow from a bank and complete you project. That way you will really be under pressure to make it work and also will not owe any money to the mob ;)

    This is the 'Entertainment' Industry.

If I mention the industry...just one word will come out and the whole cyber zone environment will start cloning my idea...lets just say theres a HUGE gap...

Through personal experiences most of my idea already exist, what makes mine different making it unique, some call finding a niche. So basically not reinventing the wheel, just providing some stylish chromes is what most of us do. :D

If you think you got a gem, be smart but also ready to test it out!

Yes, testing it out is a must. I intend to get press coverage and lots of magazines to do interviews with me. The great thing about this idea is that its easy to understand and is definately a niche that I can focus and cater for.

    My logo is hot ;)

Talk to a real world lawyer about how to safeguard your business before talking to investors. Lawyers are expensive, I know, but if your idea is so good then it will be money well spent.
