I am looking for an investment of $25,000 - you will receive 30% (gross) of a potentially over-the-top successful application.

A little about me - I am an IT Development Specialist with over twenty-years experience in the IT industry and eleven-years on Internet technologies. I have worked for IBM and CNN not to mention my involvement in other successful online businesses.

Let me introduce you (very briefly) to the application:

• Bridges the top-two web services in this particular industry
• Streamlines the online businesses for over five-million online freelancers
  • Email, Contact Management, Support, Bug Tracking, File Management, Project Management, Automatic job-bidding and more
• Will compete with only two similar but less feature-rich applications
• Available for iPhone, iPad, Android and web use.

I will go into more details with serious investors only after a signed non-disclosure/non-compete agreement. However, to give you a taste of the profit potential lets look at a modest success-scenario:


Potential buyers : 5,000,000+ (number of combined members of the two sites the application will service)
Competitor One : 2,000,000 downloads
Competitor Two : 1,500,000 downloads

Price of application : $4.99 (one-time)

After much market research into this arena, I have come up with modest estimates of gaining a minimum of 10% of the market (looking at the number of users of the competitors application)


For this conversation I'd prefer not to 'blue-sky' the estimates.

Let's look at a bare-minimum of .005% (half of 1%) of the number of downloads of the competitors:
17,500 x $4.99 = $87,325.00 (extremely modest estimate)

Lets take a look, not at blue-sky but at a realistic sales volume of 10% of what the two competitors have sold:
350,000 x $4.99 = $1,746,500

For those (like me) with an understanding of the true-potential of this application - if we did half as well as the competitors (50% of what they sold)
1,750,000 x $4.99 = $8,732,500​

What do I need your investment for?

• $10,000 is required to finish the development of the application
  • I will be bringing on several developers to cover some of technologies I lack experience with. This will speed up the development process as I've been developing to this point on my own
• $10,000 will be used to market the application
  • Both sites, that the application bridges for our users offer on-site advertising making it simple to reach our target audience. With this marketing budget we'll be able to blanket the site and reach every potential customer within a short time.
• $5,000 will be used to supplement my own salary so I can focus 20hrs/wk on the development and successful launch of our application

When do I need the investment?

• My plan is to cut my current client-base down starting February 1st. I will need to have the investor in place by then.
• The investment is to be paid in full at one-time. I have offers to invest monthly - the potential of problems that could interfere with the successful launch of the application are too great with that arrangement. I will insist that the investment be made in full or in two-installments by February 1, 2013

What is the planned launch-date for the application?

• I expect to launch to beta users by April 1, 2013
• After working out any bugs and making recommended changes and additions (based on beta-tester reviews) the target full-launch date is May 2013

When can you expect to have your principle investment returned?

• Let's split our modest sales over six-months ( monthly income: $14,554 )
• Your share of that income: $4,366/monthly
• With these numbers you'll be in profit within the first six-months.
• By November 2013 you'll be earning (again with the modest estimate) $4.000+ per month.
