iPod Problems on a new iMac

    don't fall over laughing!

My niece has come to stay and her iPod was first hooked up to the family PC.

But now she's moved to Auckland to go to University and Daddy has bought her an iMac.

She's hooked it up to iMac and when you go into iTunes it recognises the iPod and lets you see notes and contents but not the list of songs on the iPod - which apparantly it should.

If you go into preferences there's a section where it will tell you about the iPods that are connected to the iMac and it says none (despite it being on a list in the main part of iTunes)

Are there any iMac/iPod people out there who might know how to get around this?

    thanks

    Sarah
