    I currently sell products in a competitive market, is adsense smart for someone like myself who would be advertising other competitors on my sight. I am just trying to figure out a way to make the adwords costs less painful.

    In my concern Selling products with adsense is not much advisable. Search engine advertising is the best one for selling products.

    But all the time this is not the case.

    So

    1) First send 100 visitors to your product page through adsense for content network and track the no of sales per hundred visitors.

    2) Again send 100 visitors to your product page through adsense for search engine and track the no of sales per hundred visitors.


    Now you found the best advertising model for YOUR product.
