    if you talking about the revenue sources for forums, NO coz you will get a low click from it. but if just for additional income YES. ^^ mostly income for the forums should be banner ads or textlinks ads. people would pay for it if you put their link for sitewide. ^^

    Yes forums tend to have very little CTR because of their repeat visitors who do not tend to click on ads.. repeat visitors = low uniques. To make big $$ you'll have to be popular like DP!
