It depends on your skill level and how much time and effort you're prepared to put into upskilling.
If you are time-poor then it might be a good idea
If you want to improve your skills and aren't in a hurry then you might be better off DIY
If they vendor has produced one turnkey site they'll produce many more so be very aware that your site won't be unique until you do the work to make it so.

I'd want to have a decent talk about your existing commitments, the time you have available, your skills etc before I could really guide you. It's a tough business to be in and not for the faint hearted.

    Go for it

It'll get you started and get you researching which help increase your knowledge. A turnkey site is not expensive so not a high risk

Take a look through https://forums.digitalpoint.com/forums/sites.52/ and see the sudden influx of turnkey sites in there. Don't expect yours to be "special" or better than any of the others churned out by the seller you are considering buying from.

    Hey there,

Glad you are thinking about an online business. They can be very flexible as well as rewarding. However a site like Amazon or Ebay that works properly is going to be extremely expensive if it's coded right. Also your competition is going to be....Amazon and/or Ebay. That's a lot of chew off on your first time around. Always be weary of people looking to sell sites to you. Most people don't sell profitable businesses.

I would recommend getting your feet wet on a content based niche blog. Make your $ through Adsense or affiliate links. If you're willing to put in the work, you'll make money. And remember, there is no elevator to success, you must take the stairs.

You can PM me if you have any questions.
