    I do not think it too easy for a new account to sell on ebay, as you will find many restrictions to your account, not to mention if you discover a rogue buyer, you can lose money. but it's a risk if you want to continue to make ebay as a place to earn money.

    to Sell you need to analyze your competition and be better then them, you can use a name that describes better the product, that has more searches per month, that convert better so its required to research a lot.
    You also need to make a price better then the competition and have a good reputation.
    I´m selling there and my reputation is not that good (less then 50) eventhough i´m selling since i only sell services i sell about 6-10 services per month that will pay my store and i also have a good profit margin, because ebay charges quite a lot depending on the price you are selling. The worst part is Paypal they like to frozen account, for exemple last month i´ve started to be hammered with their 21 days holding funds policy, basically all the payments i received were in hold for 21 days so my business had problems with that regulation, i basically changed the payment processor for Moneybookers but the conversions dropped a little since many people only trusts in Paypal.

    Price point is key when selling on ebay. Customers will not pay normal retail prices. I sell my end of line items on ebay for half my retail prices. They sell well at this price. I have never been able to sell my current stock at full price.
