    Hi, guys

    I own a soccer related forum SoccerFriend.com, the link is in my signature..

    It is doing OK gets some organic traffic, very good sign up rate.. I was thinking to switch if from being a forum to Dating Website, do you think it would work?

    Dating site for soccer fans. The name is very good for it --> SoccerFriend.com

    Do you think this idea would work? I know dating industry is overcrowded but still? Is it worth spending time and money on it?

    Instead of switching completely, you can always make a subdomain for dating.
    If you chose to switch from forum to dating site.
    1) You will loose your regular visitors.
    2) It will take time to shift the niche..

    I think it's a good idea to have dating related services based on common interests. If some people are fanatic about soccer, they will need a mate who tolerates it ;)

    I think before you do anything to it, check with your forum members first and seek their opinions. It can be a big shock when they were discussing soccer and then the next day found they are in a dating forum ;)

    Judging from any threads I have ever started related to hot girls or dating have been doing pretty well, no matter what the forum was about ;)

    It could by not problem to change. Old members don't leave your forums, because is it place, where they know each other. You can leave some topic for them. And new members will increase your trafic.
