Check out the shadow around the header and around the site - does it look obscenely blurry at the top or am I just crazy?

looks fine here from Canada using OS X, Firefox 3.1b2

I'd venture a guess that you're using Windows/InternetExplorer - try a few other browsers like Opera, Safari, Firefox, Chrome when you do your testing, or if it's really you and you're OCD, post a screenshot of what you see so we can all have a look!

there is a shape, behind which is a shadow, and then a green-grey background colour.

Behind the shadow is a lighter shade (possibly white) that abruptly stops when the background colour starts, but that is barely visible.

Hmm, how can I better transition from the green to grey? Thanks for the input.

it might just be a Photoshop thing. Photoshop thinks about colour differently than it might seem.

If you did indeed do this image in photoshop, try setting the shadow as such:

    -Eyedropper the desired background colour
-make the shadow colour that colour
-drag the selected colour from the light grey/green in that window down to black

Hopefully when it fades lighter it won't get lighter than the base colour it's going to fade to - but that's my only idea, so if it doesn't work it's fine.

Hey, check it out now. Photoshop was indeed screwing around with the colors - I tried Fireworks instead.

    Thanks for the compliment! :D

Anyway, it's Planetside; the second greatest game you've never heard about - here's info on how to get started:

    http://reviewstash.com/viewtopic.php?pid=3052#p3052

That's in-game with AF/AA forced; the game is an MMOFPS with multiple planets, each planet is 150 vs 150 vs 150 real people. Truly epic game.
