Is it too many ads or is it acceptable?

Recently I change my site to use a new script. The comes with this default template and I kinda like it. Added a few paragraph to target the ads, code an extra dhtml script to show rss and a simple ticker news.

What about the ad placement? Is it acceptable or is it too crowded? What do you think?

What's the url of your site? You forgot about that.

Anyway, I just checked out the one in your recent blog link. Obviously there are too many ads. Try to move the placement closer to your content so that visitors will take not of it while reading.

It's kinda funny to forget to include the link :D :D :D
Looks like the site is using a combination of adsense + adbrite and it seems too crowded for me. Why not try to move one ad unit to the sidebar. Just a suggestion.

Btw, I've begun coding a bit to minimize crowdness. I'll see what I can do.

I like the design, although you have way too many ads in the main section. My advice would be to move one adsense unit to the sidebar as suggested above, and place the adbrite banners all next to each other if they are paying cpm or remove them completley if paying by per click. Having them sprawled out makes your site look spammy.

Much better. I still don't like the adbrite banner as I am getting served an annoying 'you won' style vibrating ad which distracts from the theme. If it only earn cents, then remove it otherwise keep it (Or block annoying ads through adbrite). A great improvement from the last view

    Thanks.
Unfortunately those ads are one of the main source f income. If you notice it then it works! :p
As you are in proxy niche, you know how much a webmaster depends on ads when no other source of income on the website.

Yeah, I was just thinking if it was a 90-10 swing in favour of adsense you should remove it (I get 90% revenue from adsense + adversal). If it is earning well then keep it. It is good though that you have to scroll to reach it, much better than being in the browser view when opening the page. I have to say that although I have seen this theme used before, you have put it to good use and made quite a nice site out of it. Nice Job

Sorry for not being clear. I meant that it is good that the ad does not display to the user when the page is originally opened, and is only visible by scrolling down to it.

You need an ad at the top of the page.

Need ads? I just removed a couple of them from the main site.

Are you sure you review this site --> www.rsmaker.com?
