    yes. Then people tend to think that the fb page has very valuable stuff, and tbhey also like it. This increases the traffic

    i think on a personal fb account it is one's pleasure to see likes or comments by the near friends. On the other hand the idea of asking people for 'likes' or 'comments' is a matter of great disgust to me.

    I couldn't care less about a page's likes, since it tells nothing in essence, but Fb fanboys and other brainless zombies usually 'like' having a lot of likes. The majority of Fb users are influenced by this, though.
