    there are 2 versions, one is a free version and second is a more feature rich premium version. in my openion the premium version i very much worth it !

    No need to get the Enterprise Version for 8900$ / year , if you are a champ at Zend framework. But its not so easy to customize te community edition for introducing more hacks and features as Magento is huge and too complex, but not impossible.
    We have done several hacks on the free version and made it a powerful weapon now.
