Is Myspace still effective in promoting a site?

EVeryone probably knows that Social Networking is a little bit time consuming, but we all know it's still worthy when promoting sites since there are millions of people involved in it. However, we don't want to waste time on all social networking sites, right? I know Facebook is one of the most popular sites, i'm just wondering if MySpace is still effective...

MYspace is still alive for now, but FB is def. better ROI. Why not set up an SM strategy to target both. ;)

MySpace is not as effective as Facebook for social media marketing. However, it still has a lot of active members and it receives 50 million unique visitors per month. But if you can't allocate a lot of time on social media marketing then you should focus on Facebook, which is now the largest social media Web site in the world.

yes myspace is still effective. I mostly use it to experiment, changing my sales copy, business layouts, etc. Maybe try doing that to get more traffic to your site.

Facebook has become more popular then Myspace. I do however think that if you are offering full background layouts THEN Myspace should be no problem for you.

I would put more time into research FB since there number of users is more then double what MySpace is now. But as other's have said you can make money still with MySpace.

I am still using myspace for marketing site. It really depends on what type of site you are marketing for. Social bookmarkign is another way of marketing too
